Course Booking¶
FoxConnect provides two distinct methods for managing courses, depending on whether your sessions occur on specific dates or follow a repeating weekly pattern.
Navigation:
To begin, navigate to Booking Types >> Courses >> Courses.
1. Fixed Schedule Courses¶
Use this option for courses that take place on specific, non-repeating dates.
Step 1: Course Details & Pricing
- Identity: Enter a clear Course Name and a Description.
- Validity Period (Optional): Define a period (in number of days) after which the course/package expires.
- Pricing & Usage (Package Logic): Set the Price and the Number of Usages.
- Note: This functions like a session package. For example, a customer can purchase "5 classes" at once. Each time they book a session, one usage is automatically deducted from their total.
- Visuals: Upload a clear, representative Image URL to be displayed on the booking interface.
Step 2: Scheduling
- Dates: Select the specific Start Date and End Date for the course.
- Time Slots: Set the Start Time and End Time.
- Capacity: Define the maximum number of participants allowed per session.
- Staffing: (Optional) Assign specific staff members to this course.
- Multiple Slots: Use the Add Schedule button to create additional time slots for the same course.
.
Step 3: Finalizing
- Ensure the Status is set to Active.
- Click Create Event to publish.
2. Recurring Courses¶
Use this option for courses that repeat on a consistent weekly schedule.
Step 1: Course Details & Pricing
- Follow the same process as the Fixed Schedule: enter the Name, Description, Validity Period, Price, Number of Usages, and Image URL.
- Ensure the Status is set to Active.
Step 2: Recurring Schedule Setup
- Weekly Pattern: Select the specific Days of the Week the course should occur.
- Time & Capacity: Define the Start/End Time, Capacity, and (optionally) assigned Staff.
- Multiple Slots: Use Add Time to add multiple sessions occurring on the same day.
- Efficiency Tools:
- Copy Feature: Use "Copy" to quickly apply an existing schedule to other days or set them manually.
- Exclusions: Use the Days and Time Off feature to block out specific dates, such as public holidays, to prevent bookings during closures.
.
Step 3: Finalizing
- Click Create Course to activate the recurring schedule.
3. Shared Advanced Features¶
These features can be enabled for both Fixed and Recurring course types during the setup process.
- Online Payment Settings: Enable this to allow customers to pay the full amount online at the moment of booking.
- QR Code Check-in: Enable this feature to allow customers to check into their sessions using a QR code upon arrival.
.
4. Management & Monitoring¶
Once a course or event is created, you can manage it using the View button. From the management view, you can:
- Review upcoming sessions.
- Edit course details or schedules.
- Monitor attendee lists and usage deductions.
